Tree Removal / Dismantling

Tree removal can be accomplished by either tree felling if there is enough space or by dismantling it in sections. It is highly skilled work where health and safety are vital. In some cases you may need permission from your local authority to remove a tree. We can provide all the necessary advice and information you will need to know when undertaking any tree removal job.

Crown Reduction / Pruning

Crown reduction is the reduction in height and/or spread of the crown . crown reduction may be used to reduce stress on individual branches or the whole tree. This service is mainly used when trees are getting to big for their surroundings. We work with precision to ensure the health of your tree is maintained, with the fundamental framework and leaf bearing structure being kept intact. This ensures the tree remains balanced after the process is complete.

Crown thinning is the removal of some of the smaller branches from the outer crown of the tree. Crown thinning does not alter the overall size or height of the tree but does provide more uniform foliage and allows more light through, reduces wind resistance and reduces weight.

Crown lifting is the removal of the lower branches of the tree to allow more light and clearance to the underneath of the tree specimen. Crown lifting does not alter the size or height of the tree.

Crown lifting, thinning and reduction may not suitable for all trees; however, our fully trained tree surgeons are able to fully advise you on the best way to improve the look and safety of your tree.

We do not practise any ‘topping’ techniques. In addition to crown reduction, we also offer more general tree pruning services including...

Stump Grinding / Removal

After a tree has been removed/felled, the last thing to do is ensure it doesn't grow back.
Stump grinding is the most common way to get rid of those unsightly tree stumps. We grind the stumps below ground level, to restrict the potential for future growth. The likelihood of fungal growth is minimised and you'll have more space at your disposal.

We can remove a single stump to multiple in a visit. We are happy to do this after we have removed the tree or even as a stand alone service.

Garden clearance involves literally clearing out the garden and can be part of garden maintenance. Whatever needs clearing can be taken away, though companies may charge extra for hazardous or oversize items. Sometimes it’s as simple as taking away a big old pile of stuff in a corner that just never seems to be properly cleared.

Pollarding

Pollarding is a method of pruning that keeps trees and shrubs smaller than they would naturally grow. It is normally started once a tree or shrub reaches a certain height, and annual pollarding will restrict the plant to that height.
